ADA Compliant Signage
ADA compliant signage complies with the Americans with Disabilities Act guidelines. If a sign identifies a permanent room, identifies an exit, or informs the public about accessibility features, it must conform to the ADA guidelines. Compliant signs have Braille and raised characters for blind and visually-impaired people and people with mobility or hearing impairments. The signs need non-glare backgrounds and characters that have high contrast. The characters should be easy-to-read sans serif typefaces with a medium stroke. Signs should be 48-60” from the floor on the same side as the door handle.
ADA guidelines are required in most public facilities. Summit excels in providing unique signage that is ADA compliant.
