DOWNTOWNER APARTMENTS

Built in the mid-1960s, this affordable, refreshing and stylish apartment building is located in the heart of St. Louis, MO.

CLIENT: Dominium Development

LOCATION: St. Louis, MO

PROJECT SCOPE:

We proposed an exterior and interior sign package for Downtowner Apartments. The exterior, projecting blade sign was custom designed and fabricated out of painted aluminum. The channel letters have polished faces and clear returns so the bright, white neon can be visible from viewing at an angle. Below the blade sign, we fabricated a marquee sign to be placed above the main entry awning.

A custom interior/ADA sign package was created for Dominum Development that incorporated design elements from the exterior blade sign. The geometric design was subsurface printed on a clear acrylic plate and included specific color shades for each floor level. One reason we used subsurface printing is that it provides extra protection from oils, greases, and abrasions. We applied rowmark material for the text, color bar and clear braille to all room IDs, wayfinding signs, directionals, staircases, stair levels and life safety signs.
