TASK
Team Activities for Special Kids (TASK) is a nonprofit 501(c)(3), year-round instructional sports program, that provides athletic and social opportunities to kids with special needs.
CLIENT: TASK
LOCATION: Fenton, MO
PROJECT SCOPE:
For TASK, we custom fabricated a double-sided, internally illuminated monument sign. We used standard front-lit channel letters with white faces and translucent red vinyl for the “TASK” lettering. The letters below are routed out of aluminum faces and backed with white acrylic. Translucent vinyl was applied on the acrylic faces to illuminate red at night. An electronic message center, or EMC, was also included in the overall structure of the monument sign. The brick base was pre-existing. Reusing existing material is a great way to save costs any client. An EMC is a great source of communication between an organization or business and their customers. Multiple messages can be displayed throughout the day so more information can be reached by viewers passing by. EMCs come in different sizes and resolutions, but a standard EMC’s resolution is normally 10mm or 16mm. A 10mm EMC, however, shows a higher resolution and clarity of the image display. Dimensional letters were also produced for exterior and interior use above entrance ways. Each sign used a fabricated aluminum letter with a polished face, and were flush mounted to a frosted acrylic. We also provided environmental graphics such as the Finish Line floor logo in the gymnasium, pole banners to wrap columns, and engraved dedication plaques with a sand finish background and a polished finish for the lettering.
